Healthy Environment
SAFETY
Safety and protection of environment has always been of foremost importance in CONSTEEL Construction (Pvt.) Ltd. practice. We firmly believe that quality of work and safety measures go hand and we do all that is required to achieve this objective, as outlined below.
SAFETY
- All senior site staff is fully aware of safety rules and workers are trained to observe safety at work.
- Hazardous materials are separately and carefully stored.
- Safety sign are installed at appropriate locations.
- In earthwork operations and during concreting, the crew uses gumboots.
- Use of helmets is mandatory while working at heights and where scaffolding, shuttering is going on.
- All mechanical cutting equipment is used with protective coverings.
- Safety belts are used where the work has to be performed at heights and no working floor is available.
- All the grinder or welding and chipping works are performed using goggles.
- For specialized workers, use of uniform/ dungaree is mandatory.
HEALTH
- First aid services with a trained person are available at site.
- Regular inspections are made to observe hygienic condition.
- Insecticide spray is done at labor accommodation regularly.
- Temporary toilets are constructed with standard sewage / disposal system.
ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
- All the fuel dependent machinery is calibrated and maintained in good order to reduce smoke emission. which is dangerous to Ozone layer as well as human health.
- Adequate temporary sanitary facilities are provided at site to avoid hazardous wastes. In addition to this, soak pits, septic tanks are constructed and sewage is disposed off regularly.
- Generating fire, or heat, use of rubber tire or similar material is prohibited at site.
- Termite protection is practiced wherever needed.
